The only post about endgame I will probably make
Okay Endgame was exactly what I expected it to be a flashy "epic" end to the infinity saga that has it's moments but over all was disappointing as the MCU has been for the last few years.
I have a few major complaints.
1. The Ending for Steve. I mean I have no problem with him ending up with Peggy but the writers clearly didn't think things through because the idea that Steve as presented in the MCU could ignore all the shit between then and now that he'd know about and not interfere is incredibly bad writing and insanely OOC. Not just for Steve but for Peggy too. You cannot tell me that Steve and Peggy would not be doing their damnedest to stop so many horrible things from happening.
Which means either you accept that Steve didn't warn Peggy about Hydra in sheild among other things or that Steve and Peggy together decided let's let the nazi's take over the thing she built because we have to preserve the time line.
Of course there's the possibility that they did try to change things and learned they couldn't which changes the happy ending into kind of a horror show as the two have to watch the years going by knowing every shitty thing that happens but being completely impotent to change even the smallest detail. I mean sure they could still be happy together but it definitely changes things from an actual happy ending into a well life sucks but at least they are together ending at best.
2. Related to the above the way time travel was handled in this film irritates me they try to set down rules to limit and explain why things don't change and why the folks snapped have to stay gone for five years but then promptly break them or ignore them for cool moments.
3. They gave Steve's iconic "no you move" speech to Carol Danvers which continues a trend of attempting to increase Carol's statue at the expense of other characters. I mean we saw it in her movie with how they demoted Monica to kid inspired by Carol and now she's saying other characters iconic speeches.
4. Thor continues his post Ragnarok joke character status.
So those are my major complaints but I wasn't expecting the end of this section of the MCU to not have it's shitty moments so that isn't why I won't be saying anything else about Endgame after this post.
No that honor belongs once again to the shit filled cesspool that is fandom. I just cannot deal with all that shit that is being flung around by folks over things. I mean as I said I have major issues with the Steve ending but I am sick of seeing it boiled down to just Bucky or the constant repeated calling of Steve Sharon incest or reducing every one who disliked the ending to a disgruntled shipper.
I've been fed up with the mcu fandom for years this same old crap repeating just makes it abundantly clear to me that I have no patience for it at all any more.
