I had mixed feelings about the entire episode. I'll start with the things that bugged me.

1. The awesome WoC on the Motorcycle getting killed bugs the crap out of me. She was such an awesome potential character and she got killed off just to show off the pretty much all white Alpha pack. I know some folks think she'll show up in flashbacks over the course of the show and while that would be slightly better it still pisses me off.

2. The implication that Scott is special. I don't like it I don't care to see the show go down that road since every show I've ever seen go down that road ends up horrible sooner or later. I just know it is going to be some BS about Scott becoming an Alpha without killing another Alpha will make him more awesome.

I am all for more ways for an Alpha to come about to be revealed. (the idea that there are this many of them running around and the only way to become one is to kill one would be stupid IMO)

3. The implication that Alpha's can have special powers. I mean that whole Twins turning into Hulk-wolf thing was just silly and IMO was only there to allow them to create a creepy co-dependent vibe for them. I mean between the Hulk-wolf twins and the implication that the big bad may be Dare-devil wolf.

4. The really heavy handed way they wrote in the tattoo and what it says about Scott and his fixation on Allison bugs me.

All that said I did enjoy some things from the episode.

I liked seeing Scott's mom trying to deal with things. I liked seeing him trying to become a better person and I have to admit I did laugh a bit at the American Werewolf in London bit to explain Jackson's depature. There was still enough of the stuff I liked about the show to keep me tuning in but I hope the reast of the first half of the season is better.
