I'm sorry but I'm so annoyed at the ep's of VLD Right now that I absolutely cackled when I saw that the audience score for season 8 has dropped again.

It is at a freaking 6% now I know rotten tomatoes is meaningless but seeing how reviled that season is feels me with a bit of petty glee.

It is especially telling that unlike Season 7 that had a massive pro LM & JDS fanbase push to raise the score (outright telling folks to score it 5 stars to cancel out the negatives) no one has shown up to push for raising Season 8's score instead the fans in denial that Season 8 is the season the EP's wanted to make are convinced there's some better pure version of the show out there.

Honestly, if the loudest anti-S7 voices weren't antis with their own agendas, people wouldn't have defended any part of that mess, either. I don't think anyone was *that* pro-Montsantos so much as they wanted to take the piss out of antis.... especially since I've seen a lot of Loturas becoming best friends with the very peoe who called them abuse enablers and Sheithers using anti logic.

I really don't understand how some are just so deluded to think there's some other version of the expensive animated show somewhere to be released. If they had a good product on their hands, they would've released it.

Early on there were plenty of non anti's criticizing season 7 but then they all got lumped in with the antis and pretty much forced into silence to avoid getting lumped in with them.

I mean I posted several critical things about my issues with season 7 after the first ep (I wish I could search my old blog to find them again but alas it is still filtered so no search) but after Antis became the loudest voice it was easier to stop talking about it.

I think the reason so many folks are convinced that there's a better version is because the EP's mentioned several times getting permission to change things or having to change things because of executives so they know that even late in voltron's production things were being moved around.

Add in that thanks in large part as a push back against the antis folks built up this false super positive image of the Ep's it makes it hard for them to accept that the Season 7 & 8 that we got were the closest thing to the EP's original vision despite them stating as such.
