obsidianwolf: 3 of 3 Icons I never change (Default)
I’m referring to the clone subplot that was clearly designed by unprofessional hacks who were throwing a tantrum that they had to bring Shiro back so quickly.

There are quiet a few plot holes and the whole resolution makes the Paladins look really bad with the whole harvesting one person as a body for another.

So I was kicking around ideas for how that could have been avoided I know most folks say just make it a compromised Shiro from the very beginning but I don’t particularly like that because I don’t think the ep’s could do a decent job with it.

NO I think Kuron should have perhaps been half of Shiro. Hear me out Zarkon’s blast kills Shiro and the black lion takes his spirit into itself. Haggar senses Shiro’s death and uses druid magic to steal his body out of the cock pit. This instantly explains why there were no remains at all in the cockpit.

Haggar then uses Druid magic and science to make Shiro’s body a quintessence Zombie like herself and Zarkon an sends it back. This also explains why the black lion found him cause it sensed that there is where Shiro’s body was.

When the arm is cut off the magic/tech keeping the body alive starts to fail so that’s why it’s in the pod.

This would change the body theft into a reunification and resurrection scene. Allura isn’t sacrificing one life for another she’s putting the pieces of Shiro back together again so he can live on as a whole person. All you’d need then is scene saying Shiro remembers his time divided. I mean it would still have problems but it solves many of them and is about the level of story telling ability I credit the eps with

Of course it wouldn’t fix the shit show that started building with Season 7 sidelining shiro and taking him out of the black lion or even scratch the surface on trying to fix season 8 but it would eliminate the whole Allura murdered an innocent victim to bring another victim back and no one cared thing.
